Bug Hunting Program
Last updated 16 October 2026
Found something broken, or a way to do something you shouldn’t be able to? Tell us. We fix it, you get credit.
What we want
- Security holes: seeing or changing things that aren’t yours, getting a badge, role, Plus or permission you shouldn’t have, getting around a ban or a filter.
- Things that break: crashes, pages that won’t load, messages that vanish, features that don’t do what they say.
- Clear steps: what you did, what happened, what you expected. A screenshot or video helps a lot.
The rules
- Report it, don’t use it. Finding a bug is great. Using it to give yourself Plus, a badge, admin, or to mess with other people turns it into a ban.
- Keep it private until it’s fixed. Don’t post exploits in chat or share them with friends.
- Don’t touch other people’s accounts or data to prove a point. Use your own test account.
- No spam, no DDoS, no social engineering of staff or users.
What you get
- Bug Hunter badge next to your name, for any confirmed bug.
- A thank-you in the fixes announcement, if you want one.
How to report
In Yapper: Settings → My Account → Report a bug. It goes straight to the admins and you can see the status (open, confirmed, fixed) in the same place. Found something serious and want to reach a human directly? Email hello@yapper.website with “Security bug” in the subject.
